ICT Support Officer (ISO)

 

The College is seeking a suitably qualified ICT Support Officer who has an interest working with people and technology systems. This is a permanent  / full time position (76hrs pf). The criteria for the position is listed below:


Purpose of The Role

The ICT Support Officers (ISO) promotes the Catholic and Salesian mission of the College and contributes to its educational goals by overseeing the management, maintenance and development of all aspects of the College computer network, infrastructure and ICT resources throughout the College.

The ICT Support Officers:
  • actively support and promote the Catholic, Salesian, religious, academic and pastoral dimensions of College life;
  • are responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day management, maintenance and development of the College’s ICT infrastructure and resources;
  • ensures the integrity and security of the network;
  • monitors network, wireless and bandwidth performance;
  • conduct repairs and maintenance in conjunction with the authorised agents with whom the College has links;
  • ensures the maintenance of appropriate documentation;
  • provides assistance to staff and students according to the criteria established in collaboration with the Administration Coordinator;
  • provides appropriate hardware and software support to staff and students;
  • undertakes other duties as directed by the Principal or the Administration Coordinator.

Essential Knowledge and Competencies Required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to negotiate in a positive manner and handle problem resolution activities proactively
  • Exceptional relationship building skills targeted at ensuring teamwork and customer service
  • Flexibility, initiative and responsiveness in managing workflow with an ability to prioritise competing tasks
  • Strong administrative skills to coordinate and manage a range of tasks
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to be flexible in a complex environment
  • Able to respond to sensitive issues and maintain customer confidence
  • Experience with or openness to engaging with emerging technologies, including Google Apps for Education and other Cloud-based
  • services
  • Ability to work autonomously or with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, Network Administration, Logging, Connectivity / Network Security / Auditing / Scoping / Asset Management / Document Writing / High level technical reporting / Virtual LAN set-up and management / Wireless Networking / Hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Core server applications, Back-up systems, Redundancy systems installation and maintenance
  • Proficiency across all aspects of OSI layers
  • Understanding of ITIL v3 Foundation

Formal Qualifications Required

  • Post secondary qualifications (Cert II Minimum)
  • Microsoft Certified Professional or relevant hardware vendor(s) maintenance certificate or CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) preferred

HSIE/RE Teacher 2018

 

The College is seeking to employ a committed and engaging HSIE / Religious Education teacher. This is a full-time  position. The successful applicant will be required to teach Senior Business Studies, a junior load of both HSIE, including Commerce, and Religious Studies. Experience in teaching would be an advantage.

 

A commitment to the Catholic ethos and Salesian charism of the school is essential. There is also the requirement to work effectively as a team member in  diverse faculties.

Casual Relief Teachers

 

The College is seeking applications from qualified secondary teachers as we are interested in building our casual relief list. You must have a Sydney Catholic Schools Employment number (PHRIS) and classification documents, including a current 'Working with Children' screening.
