English Coordinator

This is a Permanent/Ongoing position (starting in 2019)

This is a Full-time/permanent English teaching position starting in 2019 with the capacity to undertake the Coordination of English for 12 months, covering a secondment. There is the possibility for the Coordination role to become permanent in 2020. The successful applicant would be a suitably qualified English teacher, with a minimum of 6 years of experience, who has a passion for and a love of teaching. They would have to display an understanding of contemporary pedagogy and the current English curriculum. Critically, they would be expected to lead a team of highly professional English educators. The ability to teach Advanced and Extension 1 English would be a significant advantage. Additionally, there is an expectation to participate in the faith life of the College and a full range of extracurricular activities that are offered by the College.

Essential criteria for the position is: -

As English Coordinator, you will be expected to lead the English Faculty, ensuring the delivery of quality teaching and learning experiences that lead to effective student outcomes. You will provide leadership for the staff within your Faculty and you will oversee the management of the curriculum, programs and associated administration matters.

 Science Teacher

This is a Full Time/Permanent/Ongoing position (starting in 2019)

The College is seeking suitably qualified applicants for a Science position. This is a Full time / Permanent teaching position. The successful applicant would be a Science teacher who has had proven Stage 4-6 experience teaching mandatory and elective aspects of the Science curriculum. The position consists of teaching both junior and senior science classes. Experience teaching Physics, Chemistry, and HSC marking would be an advantage. The successful applicant would have to display an understanding of the current curriculum and have a proven record of successful science teaching. They would be expected to work in a team environment and be willing to involve themselves in the liturgical life of the community. Additionally, they are expected to participate in the full range of extra curricula activities that are offered by the College.

  Casual Relief Teachers

The College is seeking applications from qualified secondary teachers as we are interested in building our casual relief list. All applicants need to submit a letter of application along with a current resume, including professional referees. You must have a Sydney Catholic Schools Employment number (PHRIS) and classification documents, including a current 'Working with Children' screening.
